Super Bowl 2008

We have a tradition every year on Super Bowl Sunday where we get together with other friends from Idaho and partake in an event known as the Shit Bowl. The fun begins in the late morning as the guys load up in the back of a truck and they head for the muddiest field they can find. The girls are in pursuit closely behind with coffees in hand and hat and mittens on. It's a small game of no more than 5 on 5 where the guys attempt to play tackle football and the girls laugh and make fun of them. After their game, we head back to Anthony's house, where the boys strip down to their whitey tighties and wait for their turn in the shower. Once everyone is clean and warmed up, we enjoy great food, fun with friends and the real Super Bowl football game.

Chad and Bill attempt to stretch before the game, but they are more concerned about not spilling their beer.

What would the Shit Bowl be without the "cheerleaders". Kit, Clarity, Tenneall, Susan and Annie cheer on the boys...and are ready to drive someone to the emergency room if needed.
I don't know what's funnier...Anthony's t-shirt or Luke's game face.

This might have been the first, second or third half time break...I can't recall. However, when there was a "half time" it consisted of the boys gathering around guzzling Rainier while discussing hair loss and custom orthodox. I don't know how much longer the boys can handle playing in their Shit Bowl.

Why is it that when boys win something it leads to high-fives and chest bumps all around? Great efforts put forth boys...now lets go watch the real game.

The game is over and every one wins. It's a MacDonald family tradition that on the family calendar December is always a butt shot because it is the "end" of the year. My natural instinct now is that when something is over or finished with and a butt shot is available I jump at the idea. It also makes for great scrapbooking pages. No major injuries at the Shit Bowl this year...thank goodness!
