Amy and Andreas' Wedding at Elkins on Priest Lake

Chad and I went up to Priest Lake, Idaho for a weekend in January to attend Amy and Andreas' wedding reception. It was a lot of fun having two worlds collide, friends from Tri Delta and college and friends from northern Idaho. We enjoyed watching football, getting ready for the evening with the girls, having a great time at the reception, and enjoying the morning after with breakfast at Elkins. It was fun to catch up with friends from U of I and from Tri Delta.
This is a pic of Mar and I watching the Seahawks play the Packers. Mar is a great friend and always fun to spend time with!

The day of the wedding was a big game for the Seahawks. A bunch of us gathered in the bar at Elkins to watch the game. Unfortunately, the Seahawks lost to the Packers. It was fun to get in some "hang out" time with the girls prior to the wedding reception. In the picture is Breanne, Leah, Thea, Shasta, myself and Marianne.

Amy (the bride) and I have known each other since college, living together at Tri Delta. Ironically, I knew her and Luke at the same time, not knowing that Luke was with Amy's sister, Tenneall. Amy is a fun loving girl and I'm really going to miss her when she moves to Budapest. Hopefully I will be able to visit!

I love and miss this girl so much. Anna and I have an amazing friendship unlike anything else in the world. I miss hanging out with her in Seattle ever since she moved back to Boise. It's always so great to see her!

Annie is Luke's sister and the two of us have become good friends. I wish we hung out more because we always have so much fun when we are together. She's great!

Our friendship with Luke and Tenneall began with Luke and I at U of I and has continued here in Seattle. We don't spend that much time with them, but when we do get together we always have the best of times.

Christmas At The MacDonald's

We spent the first part of our trip to Idaho for the holidays with Chad's family. We had a great time and enjoyed playing with Coleman. It was great to see everyone, relax and just enjoy each other's company. Christmas Eve we opened gifts and had dinner. The majority of the time spent together revolved around Coleman. He loved the attention and showing his tricks to all of us.

This pic is of Coleman and Grandpa playing together. Grandpa is teaching Coleman how to use the key on the latch door.

Coleman loves reading books and Grandma loves reading to him. They sat in this chair for quite a while reading books together!

Kaely and I finished dipping the peanut butter balls in chocolate. Kaely helped out by making more room on the cookie sheet for newly dipped balls. She had to make more room by eating some that were alreay made. Thanks Kaely!

One afternoon Kaely and Jason left Coleman in the care of Teagan and I. When he woke up from his nap he was hungry so we fed him his favorite...turkey and cheese. He kept smiling at the camera while he was eating. It was cute!

Coleman was the center of attention over Christmas. Here Aunt Teagan is feeding him grapefruit. He was completely unsure of the taste and made a few faces over it, but he cleary signed that he wanted more.

Coleman was unsure of his new rocking horse at first, but he warmed up to the idea after a half an hour or so. We were all entertained as we watched Coleman explore in, on and around his rocking horse.

The original Monopoly players to this game were Sonja, Jason, Chad, Teagan and Bob. However, every now and then Kaely had to fill in for Bob and Sonja because they were preoccupied with their grandson. They played for a few hours and towards the end, the game became an intense debate over "fair trade"; therefore, the game ended and we decided to drink instead. This was much more fun!

Jason's all ready for hunting with his new gear.

Christmas Day with Rolan and Kira

We spent Christmas Day evening with Rolan and Kira, Dad and Debbie, and Kira's family. Kira made an amazing dinner and we all enjoyed watching the kids open up presents. Jade was the cutest when opening her presents. Every time she opened something she would say, "This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much." She was then quickly onto the next present.

Kira was Santa's little helper and passed out presents to everyone.

I enjoyed every minute that we were able to spend with our niece and nephew. Raiden loves the camera.

Jade loves playing with Uncle Chad.

Jade was excited to show everyone her princess outfit. She is so adorable!

I miss my brother tremendously. It was great to spend a little bit of time with him and his family.

Here's a pic of Raiden playing with Uncle Chad.

I miss these two so much. We snapped this photo of the three of us just before we left.

Christmas Up The River

Part of the holiday was spent up at dad and Debbie's. Spending time with dad during the holidays wouldn't be the same without rum and coke's. We enjoyed our time working in the snow, playing in the snow, watching movies and just hanging out.

Playing in the snow up at dad and Debbie's was a lot of fun. We'd take a flying leap backwards into the soft powder and try to make snow angels. Chad had just fallen backwards and the powder came up over the top of him.

This is Chad's super sled. Dad found this old blow-up mattress in the shop to use for sledding. We had to be careful sledding down the side of the mountain. We had two choices near the bottom: 1. hit the tree so we didn't go over the edge, or 2. roll of the sled and continue hanging onto it so neither the sled nor ourselves went over the edge. It was great!

We had so much fun playing in the snow. We tried using the sleds down dad's road, but it wasn't nearly as much fun as taking the sled's over the edge of the mountain. In this photo, dad and I were all ready for take off.
It snowed the entire time we were at dad and Debbie's. Chad enjoyed helping dad "shovel" snow with the tractor.
