Saturday night we went to see a favorite band of mine, Clumsy Lovers, at the Tractor Tavern. Molly, Ryan and Kyle also joined us for a night out in Ballard. Chad and I have been watching the Clumsy Lovers for about 10 years, since we were freshmen in college. I remember watching them for the first time perform in the SUB ballroom. Since then we have seen them play throughout Idaho and Washington. Clumsy Lovers' music is difficult to describe--it is somewhat of a celtic rock with a touch of country and folk. About a year ago their previous female fiddler left the band to begin a family and I had not seen the band play since then. The band found two new fiddlers that had huge shoes to fill, but successfully I think they managed to do so. Although nothing can compare to the talent of Miss Andrea and her amazing electric fiddle playing. I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a "groupie" to the band, but rather a "friendly stalker". Check out their website if you want to hear some of their music. It's great! www.clumsylovers.com

Wonderful Women and Wine!
A couple weekends ago a few of us girls drove to Prosser, a hidden treasure, and enjoyed a relaxing weekend of girl time, wine tasting, antique browsing and sunshine. We visited 4 wineries, tasted some great wines and not so great wines, went to the movies to see a chick flick, toured the Darigold cheeese factory and visited the Chukar Cherry gift store. I foresee many more girls weekends in the near future. (This pic we are at our first winery, Chinook. Copper, the golden retriever in the pic, was my new best friend while we were there.)
The last winery we went to was Willow Crest. The couple who owned the winery loved having us there...they loved us so much that when closing time came they locked the front doors and brought out two bottles of wine and a port that was not on their complimentary tasting list. We got to take our picture behind the bar at this winery.

Discovery Park with Toomeys
A couple weeks ago the sun peaked and we had a beautiful spring day. We went to Discovery Park with the Toomeys-Drew, Julie, and Mackenzie. At the park we started out with a picnic lunch in the shade and then ventured on down towards the waterfront where we played in the sand and water and saw sea anenomes. Afterwards we went to the U-District for the street fair. We are very lucky to have such amazing friends as the Toomeys.
